Each country has its own import rules, which can affect how soon your kitten can travel.

While requirements vary, here’s a general outline of what’s involved:

1. Microchip – an ISO-compliant microchip is implanted before any vaccinations.

2. Rabies vaccination – given at 12 weeks or older.

3. Mandatory waiting period – some countries require 21 days after rabies vaccination, others (like the UK, EU from unlisted countries, Australia, NZ) require a rabies blood test (titre) plus a 3-month wait after the test.

4. Health certificate – issued by a government-approved vet in South Africa just before travel.

5. Crate & airline booking – your kitten will travel in an IATA-approved crate on an airline that accepts pets as manifested cargo or in the cabin or hold, depending on the option you choose. 

6. Arrival & clearance – in many countries (e.g., UK, Australia), pets are cleared through an animal reception centre or quarantine facility.

• Kitten price – covers your kitten’s breeding, care, vaccinations, and registration.

• Travel costs – paid by the buyer and not included in the kitten price.

• Travel costs can include:

  • Airline cargo fees

  • Export agent / pet shipping service fees

  • Health certificate and vet fees

  • Rabies blood test and any extra vaccinations required by your country

  • Quarantine fees (if applicable)

We will guide you through the entire process and connect you with trusted, experienced pet shippers.

• We only use IATA-compliant travel crates with comfortable bedding.

• Flights are booked to minimise travel time and avoid extreme temperatures.

• Your kitten will have food, water, and care during the journey.
